First of all, you have to know that our app is adapted to work in the JIRA and Jira Service Management (Customer Portal) system.
Some of the places fit both systems, but some will run with only one of them (eg Agile Board run only in Jira).
Using different places will allow you to better use the possibilities of this application.
Note that some places could be more visible than others.
Grouping announcements in feeds by places will allow you to better control all announcements addressed to users.
