The above variants are default. However, if you need to change the names of buttons you should:

  • Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
  • In the  Add-onsFeeds Settings section, you have the option to change the default responses.

Change the Default Responses

At any time, you can change the names of Default Responses to ones that will be more appropriate for announcements in the selected feed.

Available Buttons:

  • None

This type of feed is used when you don't require any response and you don't want to collect feedback (see the statistics of those announcements).

Data on the views only gather in the browser's cookies.
In this case, users will see an announcement that will be closed only by the X button in the upper right corner.

  • Dismiss

In this case, users can close announcements by clicking the "Dismiss" button.
This type differs from "None" by gathering feedback, which means that by selecting this option the administrator receives information that users have read (and closed) the announcement, and how many users haven't done it yet.

  • Approve & Reject

This is the first type of announcement in which users have the opportunity to express an opinion.
In this case, it is Approve or Reject.
In the statistics, you will see which users have given the answer and even how they responded in the selected announcements.

  • Approve & Dismiss

The second type of announcement, in which users have the opportunity to choose the answer.
In this case, they can choose between Approve or Dismiss, which means agreeing or omitting the announcement.
In the settings, you can set that after pressing Dismiss, users can (or not) return to the selected announcements until they click the "Approve" button.

  • Approve, Reject & Dismiss

The last, most advanced type of announcements.
Users have the opportunity to answer in the affirmative or negative and additionally they can skip the announcement by means of the Dismiss button.
In the settings, you can set that after pressing Dismiss, users can (or not) return to the selected announcement until they choose "Approve" or "Reject" buttons.
