Performance + Search Mode is a feature that gives you the ability to use Performance search with an extra security layer.

Only users who have View Field Permission will be able to search the Secure Field values.

The mode can be configured for each Secure Field separately.

To enable the mode certain condition must be satisfied:

• Custom field must be in Performance Search Mode.

• Only one field context can be applied to the Secure Field.

• View Field permission for the field must contain only Single User Or Group.

Configuring Performance + Search Mode

Adjust View Field permission:

1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

2. Navigate to Admin menu → Issues → Custom fields permission schemes. Locate needed scheme and click Permissions.

3. Add Single User or Group option for View Field permission.

4. Confirm with Save button.

Set Seach mode to Performance:

1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

2. Navigate to Admin menu → Manage apps→ Search Security Settings.

3. Locate desired field and set it to Performance search mode.

4. Press Save changes button.

5. Perform a re-index.

Enable Performance + Search Mode

1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

2. Navigate to Admin menu → Issues → Custom fields → locate needed field and click Configure.

3. Click Edit Performance + Search Configuration and enable Performance + mode.

4. Confirm with Done button.

Edit Performance + Search ConfigurationMode has been enabled (can be changed anytime).
