JIRA allows to add optional fields called custom fields. You can choose between Standard and Advanced types while creating one. SLA PowerBox plugin extends range of Advanced typeSLA PowerBox plugin extends range of JIRA custom fields. Custom fields are optional in JIRA and divide in two groups: standard and advanced. SLA PowerBox Metric field is an advanced custom field.

Adding SLA PowerBox Metric using the Add Custom Field button

  1. Log in as a user with the JIRA Administrators global permission.
    Choose  > Issues. Select Fields > Custom Fields to open the Custom Fields page.

  2. Click the Add Custom Field button.  Dialog displays the Standard choices for custom fields by default. Click on the  Standard type fields are displayed in the dialog by default. Click Advanced option in the navigation bar located on the left navigation to side of the dialog and search for SLA PowerBox Metric.
  3. Select SLA PowerBox Metric by clicking on it and confirm your choice with Next button.
  4. Configure the selection criteria for your field by adding the Name for a chosen Secure Field and optionally its description and optionally a Description.
    (info) Tip: The Field The field's Name will appear as the custom field's title in both entering and retrieving information on issues, whereas the Field . The field's Description is displayed beneath the data entry field when entering new issues and editing existing issues, but not when browsing issues.
  5. Confirm the whole process field's creation by clicking Create button.
  6. After that you will be redirected to the to Screens tab , where you will be asked to associate your newly created SLA PowerBox Metric field with the an appropriate screen in which you want it to be displayed.

 


You will be able now to Now you can find your SLA PowerBox Metric field listed in Fields > Custom FieldFields
