Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.
Navigate to Admin menu → Projects and search for the desired project.
At Project settings section locate Portal Configuration tab.
Basic info
Enter Portal name.
Fill in Portal description (optional).
Confirm with Save button.
Portal Logo
Click on Select Logo.
Drag and drop the image or click Upload photo.
Confirm with Save button.
Portal Sections
Portal Sections are grouped lists of Ideas displayed on the Portal main page. Grouping ideas into sections helps to organize the space and add more structure to your Portal.
There are 3 default sections (My ideas, Newest, All) which can be modified or removed from Portal.
Add new section
Navigate to Portal sections.
Click on '+' sign at the top right corner.
Enter Section name. This name will be displayed in the Portal.
Select Section type: Idea List - all ideas matching the JQL query will be displayed in the section. Top Results - selected number of ideas will be displayed.
Define Section size (Small / Large).
Write JQL query. Only ideas matching given query will be displayed in current section.
Limit JQL results (only for Top Results section type) - number of ideas to be displayed in section.
Click on the checkmark at the right corner to create a section.
Confirm with Save button.
Edit a section
Navigate to Portal sections.
Locate the needed section and click on Edit button.
Click Confirm by clicking on the checkmark at the right corner .to confirm.
Press Save button.
Remove a section
Navigate to Portal sections.
Locate the needed section and click on Remove button.
