Adding SLA Metric Attribute field

  1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

  2. Navigate to Admin menu → Issues → Custom fields. Click Add custom field button.

  3. Select Advanced type fields.

  4. Locate SLA Metric Attribute and confirm your choice with the Next button.

  5. Fill in the Name and Description (optional) fields.

  6. Press the Create button.

Configuring SLA Metric Attribute field

  1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

  2. Navigate to Admin menu → Issues → Custom fields.

  3. Locate desired field, press Configure → Edit Metric attribute.

  4. Select SLA Metric field.

  5. Define Attribute type.

  6. Confirm with the Submit button.

Attribute type is set globally and SLA Metric field is set only for the current configuration context.


Attribute Field types available

State

Current state of SLA Metric (e.g. Active, On Hold..).

Time spent

Time spent on the issue after SLA Metric clock was started. (e.g. 6h 35m 43s).

Time spent in percent

Time spent on the issue in percent (e.g. 64%). 

Remaining or Exceeded

Shows time remaining to complete SLA or exceeded time if SLA was breached.

Remaining

Time remaining until SLA will be breached.

Exceeded

Time spent on the issue after a breach.

Time exceeded in percent

Time spent on the issue after a breach in percent.

Number of resumes

Number of times SLA Metric was resumed.

Number of restarts

Number of times SLA Metric was restarted.

Active time percent

Percentage of time SLA Metric was in Active state.

Time in on hold status

Amount of time the SLA Metric was paused.

Time in current goal

Time to complete the SLA according to the goal (applies if the current goal is set as a fraction of time).

Date in current goal

Deadline date according to the goal (applies if the current goal is set as a Date field).


Searching SLA Metric Attribute Fields

Searching for SLA Metric State

SLA Metric State Attribute field supports the following searching operators: =, !=, in, not in. Valid operands are the SLA Metric States: Not started, Active, On hold, Finished, Exceeded, Cancelled (case-insensitive).


Searching for SLA Metric Times

SLA Metric time attributes are Time spent, Remaining or Exceeded, Remaining, Exceeded, Time in on hold status, Time in current goal.

Valid operators: >, >=, =, !=, <=, <, is, is not. Valid operands are time expressions and plain numbers (interpreted as seconds).

Searching for SLA Metric Number values

SLA Metric number attributes are Time spent in percent, Time exceeded in percent, Number of resumes, Active time percent.

Valid operators: >, >=, =, !=, <=, <, is, is not. Valid operands - any number.
