Holidays feature allows creating a scheme of pre-defined holidays (both fixed and floating dates) that can be applied to particular users in Jira.
It helps automate the scheduling of the workloads and ensure the accuracy of the Workload scheme for each employee.
Default Holiday scheme is added automatically. It can be edited according to your needs but can't be removed.
Create a Holiday scheme
Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.
- Select AppTime → Timesheets in Jira's top navigation bar.
- From the sidebar menu, go to Settings → Holidays → click "Create New Scheme" button at the top right-hand corner of the page.
Fill in the Scheme name and click Save&Close.
- Locate the created Holiday scheme → click "Configure scheme".
- To add a new fixed or floating holiday, click on New Fixed/Floating Holiday button.
- Fill in the Name of the holiday and its Date.
- "Holiday can occur within limited date range" box allows to define a holiday that will only occur within a particular time window and won't be occurring after the defined time window is over.
- Click Save&Close button to confirm.
To edit or remove a particular holiday, click on the three horizontal dots in the Actions section → Edit / Remove.
You can assign the Holidays scheme to users in Manage staff tab.
Edit a Holiday Scheme name
Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.
- Select AppTime → Timesheets in Jira's top navigation bar.
- From the sidebar menu, go to Settings → Holidays.
- Locate the Scheme you wish to modify and click on the three horizontal dots in the Actions section → Edit.
- Make necessary adjustments → Click Save&Close button.
Remove a Holiday Scheme
Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.
- Select AppTime → Timesheets in Jira's top navigation bar.
- From the sidebar menu, go to Settings → Holidays.
- Locate the Scheme you wish to remove and click on the three horizontal dots in the Actions section → Remove → Confirm.
