Group attributes

Attribute types

There are seven attribute types available:

• Flag - a checkbox. Flag can be used for checkable attributes (that can only have two checked states - "checked" or "not checked".

• Text - simple text attribute.

• List - list of options from which only one option can be selected.

• Multi-select list - list of options from which multiple values can be chosen.

• Date - date attribute (mm/dd/yyyy).

• User - user attribute (single).

• Multi-select user - user attribute (multi-user).

Adding attribute

1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

2. Navigate to Admin menu → User management → Group Plus → Group attributes.

3. Click Add attribute button at the top right corner of the page.

4. Fill in the name of an attribute and define its type.

5. Press Save attribute to confirm.

Edit attribute

1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

2. Navigate to Admin menu → User management → Group attributes and locate the needed attribute.

3. In the Actions section select Edit attribute.

4. Edit the name of an attribute and/or options (for List and Multi-select list only).

5. Press Save attribute to confirm.

Remove attribute

1. Log in as a user with the 'Jira Administrators' global permission.

2. Navigate to Admin menu → User management → Group attributes and locate the needed attribute.

3. In the Actions section select Remove attribute.

4. Confirm with Ok button.

Original name is a default built-in group name. This attribute cannot be removed but you can customize its name by clicking Edit attribute.
