Secure Fields Plugin ships you with 11 custom field types which are distinguished by the fact that they may be given additional permissions. You can easily create any type of secure field you want simply by logging to JIRA

What is Workflow PowerBox?

Workflow PowerBox is a solution that extends JIRA's workflow capabilities by a set of powerful templates that allow JIRA administrators to reuse workflow elements (such as conditions, validators and post functions) and manage workflows as flexible as possible.

The app contains three template types:

  • Condition templates
  • Validator templates
  • Post function templates

It also comes with a set of custom conditions, validators and post functions that can be used with templates or directly in JIRA workflows.

Basic Functionalities

Adding a new Template

The Workflow PowerBox Plugin gives you a possibility to create pre-defined templates that consist of a set of conditions or validators or post functions - depending on what kind of a template you are working on. You can easily create the desired template by logging to the Jira's Administration page and choosing

Working with Permission Schemes

Adding a Permission Scheme

A permission scheme is a set of user/group/role assignments for the field permissions listed below:

Field Permissions

Explanation

View Field

Permission to view a field and its current value

Edit Field Value

Permission to update a field value.

View Field History

Permission to view previous secure field values.

Schemes are created within Custom Fields Permission Schemes. After that you can set up permissions.

Assigning a Secure Field to Permission Scheme

All newly created Secure Fields are associated automatically with a default scheme. You can change those settings by configuring your Secure Field in configuration menu in Permission Scheme section.

Configuring permissions

Configuring Field-level permissions

Setting up permissions can be done in the Custom Fields Permission Schemes menu after choosing Permission Scheme of interest.

You can select one or more permissions to add and who to add the selected permissions to. The users/groups/roles will be then added to the selected permissions.

3. Organise your pages

Here are some tips for organising your content.

  • Change the page order

The sidebar on the left displays your pages in a hierarchy. If you have Space Administrator permissions you can click "Space Tools" > "Reorder Pages" to move pages around.

  • Add labels

Labels help keep pages organised and make it easier for you to find the information you need. Click "Labels" at the bottom of a page to add or edit. The "Related pages" section on this page uses labels too!

  • Make templates

Standardise and speed up the page creation process with templates. You can create and format a template with page layouts, standard headings and instructional text for hints and guidelines. Check out our sample page on "Working with templates"

Adding a Template to the workflow

Templates can be used in particular transitions in a workflow. This saves a lot of time and greatly cuts the overhead from a skilled Jira administrator.

Some extra options like disabling templates and template-in-template are included.
