To configure notifications for Idea Portal:
Log in as a user with the Project Administrator role.
Navigate to Admin menu → Projects and search for the desired project.
At Project settings section locate Portal Notifications tab.
Please note: Portal Notifications won’t be sent if Jira Outgoing Server is not configured. Read how to configure Jira's Mail Server.
Jira Notifications
Notifications will be sent according to the existing project configuration. Read more about Jira notifications.
Important: Make sure that your customers will not receive internal Jira notifications about Idea issues events.
You can manually remove Reporter from notifications recipients at the project Notifications page (Project settings → Notifications).
To enable Jira Notifications for Idea Portal check the Use Jira Notifications box at the Portal Notifications tab.
Portal Notifications
Idea Hub delivers its own set of notifications that can be configured regardless of standard Jira notifications. Those notifications will be sent only for events related to issues with type Idea.
If you need to change the content of notifications messages, please contact our Service Management for the guidelines.

*Portal users will be notified only about changes in fields that are visible in Portal (Summary and Description).

Session Notifications can be generated for the following events:

Assessment session add idea to session
Assessment session remove idea from session

To enable Portal Notifications for Idea Portal check the Use Portal Notifications box at the Portal Notifications tab.
To enable or disable a notification, check/uncheck the Enable box.
To exclude the current user from notification recipients click on icon at the Actions section.
To test a particular notification click Send test mail. An example notification will be sent to the email address configured with your account.
You can have both Jira Notifications and Portal Notifications enabled for the same Idea Portal.
