Add an Idea
Log in with your Jira credentials.
Locate the needed project and click Create Idea.
Enter Summary and optional Description.
Add Tags if you want to classify your Idea.
Click '+' to attach additional files.
Confirm with Create button.
Idea has been created.
Edit an Idea
After submission, all Ideas are in the status Draft. An author can edit, remove or drop the Idea. After the Idea has been published by the moderator, the status will change to Published and the author will not have an option to drop the Idea anymore.
View Ideas
Click View Portal to view all published Ideas on the project. Ideas are grouped into sections e.g. My Ideas, Newest, and so on (depending on Portal configuration). To access a particular Idea simply click on its name, you will be redirected to the Idea’s page.
Comment and Vote
You can Vote Up / Down the Idea, leave Comment and Vote Up / Down the comment. Both votes and comments are visible to all Portal users. You can reply to other users' comments, edit or remove your own comments and unvote the Ideas/Comments at any time.
You can classify your comment into one of the following categories:
Improvement
Question
Alternative
Idea
Error
Comments classification is not mandatory. If you believe none of the categories suits your comment - just skip the option.
